One of Corum’s most recognizable creations, the Coin Watch transforms an authentic American $20 Double Eagle into a remarkably slim wristwatch. This circa 1980s example features a 1904 coin, with the eagle and Great Seal forming the dial beneath a sapphire crystal. Slim black hands provide contrast while allowing the intricate relief and inscriptions of the coin to remain the focus.
The coin is framed by an 18k yellow gold case with finely beaded detailing around the bezel and is finished with a diamond-set crown. Powered by a quartz movement, the reverse displays the Liberty Head side of the original coin with its 1904 date.
Fitted with a custom forest green Epsom leather strap and generic gold-tone buckle. A clever meeting of American numismatic history and Swiss watchmaking, and a design that has remained unmistakably Corum since its introduction in 1964.
