A handsome revival of one of Vacheron Constantin's most distinctive vintage designs, this Historiques Toledo reference 42100 in 18k yellow gold pays tribute to the celebrated Cioccolatone while embracing modern proportions and mechanics. The softly curved rectangular case frames a white dial with a finely guilloché centre, bordered by a chemin-de-fer minute track. Oversized applied pyramid hour markers are paired with applied Roman numerals at 12, 3, and 9 o'clock, while the date window replaces the 6. Matching gold feuille hands are accompanied by a central seconds hand. The signed Maltese cross crown completes the elegant profile.
Powered by the automatic caliber 1312, the watch is fitted with a custom-made brown peccary leather strap and secured by its original Vacheron Constantin 18k yellow gold Maltese cross tang buckle. An elegant dress watch from the early 2000s that faithfully reinterprets one of the brand’s most charismatic mid-century designs.
