A compelling Universal Genève Golden Shadow from the 1970s, housed in a slim oval 18k yellow gold case with polished surfaces and elegant proportions. The understated design allows the dial to take centre stage, finished in an unusual metallic tone that shifts with the light—never quite champagne, never quite bronze, with subtle hints of taupe throughout. It is easy to see how the "Golden Shadow" name was earned.
Applied baton hour markers and slender hands maintain the minimalist aesthetic, while the petite crown is signed with Universal Genève's stylized "U". Powered by an automatic movement, the watch is fitted with a custom-made olive Swift leather strap that complements the dial's warm, ever-changing tones. A beautifully minimal dress watch with one of the most distinctive dial colours (in our opinion) to emerge from the era.
