A fantastic Movado chronograph from the 1920s, this is a rare example of a single-button chronograph paired with an early pulsations dial. The 33mm 18k yellow gold cushion case houses a beautifully patinated two-register dial, with small seconds and a 30-minute counter, black Arabic hour markers, and an outer 50 pulsation scale flanked by a minute track.
The onion-style crown is charmingly oversized, with ribbed detailing that adds to the watch’s stout, purposeful character.
Powered by a Movado manual-wind chronograph movement, featuring a column-wheel construction, a hallmark of traditional construction. Over a century old and still keeping time, this piece stands as a compelling addition to any vintage collection, with the presence to carry on for generations.
