A wonderfully unconventional Cartier Tank Palissandre de Rio reference 20611 from the 1970s, combining the brand’s iconic rectangular silhouette with warm Brazilian rosewood case brancards and a matching dial, framed by a gold-plated case manufactured by Swiss case maker Uniroc. The rich grain of the wood gives each watch its own unique character, offering a striking departure from Cartier's more traditional designs.
The minimalist dial is adorned with applied Roman numerals at the quarter hours, matching gold sword hands, and the Cartier signature. Completing the design is the signature blue cabochon crown. Powered by the ETA caliber 2512 manual wind movement, the watch is fitted with a custom-made brown Crazy Horse leather strap and secured by its original Cartier gold-plated tang buckle. A beautifully preserved example of one of Cartier's most imaginative creations from the pre-Must era.
