A finely preserved vintage Cartier offering, this Jumbo Tank ref. 471 is part of the 5,000 pieces produced for the London market during the 1970s. The stepped gold-plated case remains in beautiful condition, with no visible brass, and measures 38mm lengthwise—considered oversized for a Tank of its era. For context, it is approximately 8mm larger than its cousin, the rare 1970s Tank Louis Jumbo Automatic.
The original brown dial is exceptionally well preserved, featuring gold-printed Roman numerals and matching gilt sword-shaped hands. The slightly elongated blue cabochon crown sits prominently against the case.
Powered by a manual-wind caliber 2512 movement, the watch is fitted with its vintage Cartier brown exotic strap, harmonizing perfectly with the dial. It is secured by a Cartier gold-plated buckle stamped Unroc, with a beautifully defined double C embossing. Rare to find in such condition, this is a true collector-quality example.
