A classic Patek Philippe & Co. Calatrava in 18k yellow gold dating to circa 1940s. The elegant Geneva-made case was manufactured by Antoine Gerlach (key hallmark no. 4), housing the renowned caliber 10-200 manual wind movement bearing the Geneva Seal. The dial was refinished earlier in its life and features applied baton hour markers, dauphine hands, a dotted minute track, and a subsidiary seconds register at 6 o'clock. The crown is unsigned, as commonly seen on examples from the period. Fitted with a Patek Philippe black alligator strap and a modern Patek Philippe 18k yellow gold tang buckle, this is an early Calatrava from the formative years of one of watchmaking's most iconic designs.
