A rare and beautifully handcrafted example, this 1980s Vacheron Constantin skeletonized watch showcases the artistry of traditional hand-finished movements. The 18k yellow gold case features a double row of diamonds set within the chapter ring, framing a fully exposed, hand-engraved skeletonized movement visible from both front and back. Slim black hands are kept minimal, allowing the movement to take center stage.
The crown is signed with the Maltese cross, echoed on the movement itself. Notably, the underside of the bezel bears crisp engravings with “Vacheron Constantin” prominently embossed—an uncommon and thoughtful detail. One of the bridges is further decorated with the Geneva seal motif, reinforcing its high level of craftsmanship.
Powered by the ultra-thin Vacheron Constantin caliber 1003/1 manual-wind movement, this piece remains true to the brand’s tradition of refined watchmaking. It is fitted with a vintage Vacheron Constantin black alligator strap and secured by an 18k gold Vacheron Constantin tang buckle, completing a finely executed example of skeletonized watchmaking from the era.
