Skeleton watches are a favorite of ours to share, and this Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Squelette reference 36003 from the 1990s is a fine example, crafted in 18k yellow gold. The semi-exposed skeletonized dial reveals elaborately hand-engraved golden bridges signed Vacheron Constantin, and is fitted with anodized leaf-shaped hands.
A brushed gilt chapter ring frames the dial, accented by a diamond-set perimeter interrupted with hours marked by black engraved hashes for added legibility. The case is finished with a blue cabochon crown. Powering the watch is the caliber 1006 manual-wind movement, a caliber frequently used by Vacheron Constantin for skeletonized pieces of the era, notable for its minimal construction and distinctive one-sided presentation, with movement details found on the opposite end.
Fitted with a black Barenia leather strap and a Vacheron-signed plaque buckle stamped A.W. with a black Maltese cross, this neo-vintage ultra-slim piece is beautifully finished and a strong representation of the brand’s artisanal craft.
