A fantastically preserved Rolex Day-Date ref. 18038, accompanied by punched papers from Hong Kong dating this piece to 1987. This Presidential, housed in the classic 36 mm case, has retained much of its original finish and developed a warm, even patina—making it a compelling candidate for a factory stone dial.
It features a champagne dial with gold applied baton hour markers, flanked by full, well-preserved lume plots with delicate Roman numeral accents. Gold baton hands with center lume complement the display, alongside the signature day and date apertures.
Powered by an automatic movement, it is fitted with its original Rolex Presidential bracelet, showing attractively toned patina and secured by a concealed Crownclasp bearing the Rolex coronet.
Photographs hardly do this Rolex justice—this is a piece best appreciated in person.
