Originally rooted in aviation the GMT Master which officially launched in 1954, allowed pilots to keep track of different time zones with the GMT’s 24-hour rotatable bezel and hand. In 1983 the first GMT Master II was released and due to the case’s large sized was dubbed the “Fat Lady”, but in 1988 a slimmer GMT Master II was introduce also featuring a new sapphire crystal, and a new thinner and lighter case. Our ROLEX 16753 1979 tutone GMT Master still with its original hands and dial includes a newly installed acrylic crystal and polish has been done. Along with original hang tags and a recent polish this GMT comes with a nato style strap that provides a very sporty look, it is ready to be worn immediately!
