A charming Audemars Piguet Day-Date reference 25574BA, affectionately nicknamed “The Owl” for its pair of recessed calendar registers resembling two eyes. Crafted in 18k yellow gold, the slim stepped case frames a creamy enamel dial with black Roman numerals, a railroad minute track, and contrasting blued hands for the day and date displays.
Powered by the automatic Audemars Piguet caliber 2124, the watch is fitted with an AP black alligator strap and signed 18k yellow gold AP tang buckle. The unusual dial layout gives an otherwise traditional gold dress watch a distinctive bit of personality, making the “Owl” one of the more charming vintage complications from Audemars Piguet.
