A beautiful vintage Audemars Piguet from the 1980s, this piece feels understated yet richly detailed in its presentation. The creamy enamel dial is thoughtfully balanced within a 33 mm 18k gold case with short, tapered lugs and a crown left unadorned by branding. The dial features day and date sub-registers and a moonphase display, highlighted by the word automatic and a gold ring marking the 6 o’clock position. Black Roman numerals, a discreet outer minute track, and slim gold hands complete the graceful layout. Powered by an automatic movement, the watch is custom-fitted with a dark blue alligator strap and secured by an AP 18k gold tang buckle. Elegant on the wrist, it wears larger than its dimensions suggest — one of the final expressions of classic AP design before the brand moved toward more modern aesthetics.
