A classic looking timepiece from the early 1950s, this vintage Patek Philippe showcases timeless design and elegant proportions. Housed in an 18k yellow gold case by case maker Wenger, it bears two Geneva hallmarks and features beautifully ridged lugs. The original hard enamel dial has developed a warm vintage patina, with applied gold hour markers, partially interrupted at 6 o'clock by a subsidiary seconds register. The pointed gold hands and metallic dotted minute track along the outer perimeter add a fine touch. Powered by a Patek Philippe caliber 10-200, a manually wound movement. Fitted with a new-old-stock brown alligator strap, the watch includes original 18k gold spring bars and a particularly curious collector's detail: an original Patek Philippe 18k buckle engraved with the misspelled "Phillipe"—a rare factory error made for the American market and released in limited quantity before correction. Both the tang and buckle are hallmarked “18k”. Though not officially part of the Calatrava line, this piece carries a similarly understated elegance, enhanced by a sense of humor and history. A true vintage lover’s watch with personality and provenance.
