A fine vintage Rolex Liberty coin watch reference 3612 in 18k yellow gold, crafted in the early 1960s from a $20 US coin dated 1907. This piece feels lovely in the hand, impressively containing a mechanical movement in its 4mm case. A clever opening mechanism holding a near-seamless button positioned at 3 o’clock, delicately releases its lid. The watch may be propped up on its own by lifting the small lever located at 12 o’clock, and features a champagne dial, blued steel hands, black Roman numeral and stick hour markers with a minute track. With such exquisite craftsmanship, this piece would make a luxurious addition to a collection or as decor.

Scratches and small nicks throughout.

Possibly previously refinished dial.

Watch runs and winds smoothly, it will need a service. Service history is unknown.

Original dial, hands and crown.

4mm thick case.

Rolex cal. Agassiz, 18 Rubis mechanical winding.

Acrylic crystal.
