A stunning 1970s Piaget dress piece, sure to command attention with its cloud-like white mother-of-pearl dial, beautifully outlined by a black onyx frame. The 18k white gold rectangular case features elegant slanted corners and finely executed ridging, with the unsigned crown discreetly tucked into the case band.
The dial is intentionally minimal: black Piaget print contrasts against the iridescent mother of pearl, while “Swiss” appears in white against the onyx surround. Silvered dauphine hands complete the composition, offering legibility without disturbing the dial’s balance.
Powering the watch is Piaget’s caliber 9P manual-wind movement, a hallmark of the brand’s ultra-thin dress watches from the era. It is paired with a black lizard strap that perfectly complements the black-and-white, tuxedo-like aesthetic, secured by a raised “P” signed 18k white gold buckle.
Elegant and striking—as only vintage Piaget can be—this is not a piece you’ll encounter often on the market.
