Piaget Ref. 9672 Retailed by Neiman Marcus 18k Gold 1970-80

$6,850.00

An unusual and gorgeous vintage Piaget reference 9672 from circa 1970–80, crafted in 18k yellow gold and retailed by Neiman Marcus. The watch appears to retain its original unpolished finish, with deep hallmarks and a hand-inscribed Neiman Marcus inventory number visible on the case.

What makes this piece particularly striking is the continuation of texture across the entire watch. Fine horizontal ridging runs across the 18k gold case and continues in the same direction across the dial, creating an almost uninterrupted fluted surface. The crystal sits beautifully above the case, gently curving with its shape and adding another layer to the architectural profile.

The dial is signed Piaget and N.M. for Neiman Marcus, with matte black printed indices and contrasting blued-steel hands. Some bubbling is visible in the black printing, which may relate to work performed after the watch was imported into the United States.

Powered by the Piaget caliber 9P manual-wind movement. Fitted with its vintage Piaget brown crocodile strap and Piaget-signed 18k yellow gold tang buckle. The combination of warm gold, continuous horizontal texture and Neiman Marcus signature gives this unusual Piaget considerably more presence than its minimal design might suggest.
