A rare and very cool vintage design of Piaget featured in the Watches and Wonders Piaget book, this particular Piaget reference 9118 dated 1966 is crafted out of 18k white gold. The beautiful ultra-thin case we have seen the brand use in similar examples such as the iconic disco volantes, its bezel is uniquely embellished with hand engraving and Roman numeral markers with black fill. The dial is minimally designed to showcase the elaborate bezel and has developed a light patina : silvered sunburst dial with silver dauphine hands. The watch is powered by a Piaget 9P2 manual wind movement often used in their dress watches. Fitted with a Piaget black crocodile strap and original Piaget 18k white gold tang buckle. Overall this Piaget is in excellent condition considering its age and retains its original finish, making it a beautiful addition to a vintage collection.
In original condition, dial has developed patina.
