An outstanding and rare Piaget from the 1970s, remarkable for its striking use of tri-color 18k gold—a bold statement from an era known for daring design. The textured dial resembles an abstract camouflage, with irregular patches of yellow and rose gold set against a white gold background, minimally adorned with black stick markers and slim blued-steel hands. The intricate texture continues onto the supple bracelet, where the tritone effect extends through the links and clasp. Notably, the Piaget-signed clasp features an uncommon double closure mechanism. Powered by the ultra-thin automatic caliber 12P with a micro-rotor, the case back bears a waterproof marking—though, as with most vintage examples, such claims should be taken cautiously today. A highly unusual and visually arresting Piaget that captures the brand’s flair for artistry.
