It is always a joy for us at Fabsuisse to discover distinctive vintage pieces such as this fine 1970s Piaget.
A rare and charming find, this example features a petite cushion-shaped case framing a striking lapis lazuli dial. Natural calcite inclusions appear as soft, cloud-like formations across the deep blue stone, creating a dial that is truly one of a kind. The composition is kept beautifully minimal, adorned only with gold dauphine hands.
The sharply tapered lugs lend elegant definition to the case, while the unsigned crown maintains the clean lines of the design — a subtle but correct detail for many Piaget dress pieces of the era.
Powered by a Piaget manual-wind caliber, the watch is fitted with a black Piaget crocodile strap and secured by an 18k Piaget-signed tang buckle, notable for its distinctive, slightly retro-inspired form.
The case appears to remain unpolished, preserving its original lines and proportions. An unusual and characterful design, this is a vintage beauty we would be reluctant to let go.
