This 1970s Piaget piece is intended for a smaller wrist—hence the “Mini” in the title—and is genuinely charming in the hand. The bracelet was shortened in its time, which accounts for its shorter-than-average length, and when worn on a very small circumference wrist, the case maintains pleasing proportions and wears exactly as intended.
Executed in 18k white gold, the textured dial treatment carries throughout the watch, extending to both the bezel and the bracelet. Enlarged black stick hour markers punctuate the dial, with the 6 o’clock marker curiously intersecting the Swiss print—a detail rarely encountered. The bracelet is fully integrated into the case and secured by Piaget’s signature “P” jewelry clasp. The watch is powered by the Piaget caliber 9P, a movement the brand favored for many of its elegant dress watches during the era.
Quietly understated and easy to wear, it works beautifully as a piece of watchmaking that also functions as jewelry.
