Piaget has long excelled at the art of the dress watch, producing a remarkable variety of elegant designs, and it is always a pleasure to encounter vintage examples that showcase the brand’s attention to detail in such fine condition. Such is the case with this Tank-inspired piece in 18k yellow gold from the 1960s–70s. The bezel and sides of the case are embellished with tiny hobnail detailing, while the crown is left clean and unadorned.
The dial features a lovely guilloché pattern that shimmers beautifully under the light, accented by bold black Roman numerals. Piaget’s anodized leaf-shaped hands complete the elegant display. The watch is powered by a caliber 9P1 manual-wind movement and is fitted with a Piaget dark brown crocodile strap; alternatively, a green crocodile strap is also included for added versatility. It is secured by a raised “P” 18k gold buckle.
Appearing to remain in unpolished condition, this elegant and beautifully crafted vintage piece wears especially well on the wrist of a vintage enthusiast.
