A vintage Patek Philippe Grand Ellipse from the 1970s, this model takes its “Grand” name from the broader case proportions that still follow the classic Ellipse outline while preserving a remarkably slim profile. This reference 3589 features an ivory dial with light patina, set with black Roman numerals and anodized hands, and finished with a Calatrava-signed crown. Inside, it is powered by the caliber 28-255 automatic movement, its rotor outlined and stamped 21k. The watch is fitted with a custom midnight-blue alligator strap that tucks neatly into the subtle T-bar lugs and is fastened with a Patek 18k gold tang buckle. It wears beautifully on the wrist — larger than most Ellipses, a little different, and unmistakably cool as a vintage Patek.
