An unusual Ellipse from Patek Philippe, this vintage example dates to the 1970s and distinguishes itself with a thicker bezel compared to the more familiar slim-profile models. The 18k yellow gold case retains its original brushed finish with crisp hallmarks. Its white dial has been beautifully preserved, set with large black Roman numerals and hands that have aged to reveal some of the steel beneath. The Patek-signed crown sits partially recessed into the case with an angular cutout—an elegant design detail. The watch runs on the caliber 28-225 automatic movement, complete with Geneva seals. The black Patek alligator strap appears integrated into the case via discreet t-bar lugs and is fastened by an 18k tang buckle. A distinctive interpretation of the Ellipse, it wears with both quiet confidence and character.
