A highly sought-after ‘Disco Volante’ 2552 from Patek Philippe, dating to the 1950s, defined by its elegantly tapered case and distinctive double-stepped bezel. The silvered dial remains beautifully preserved, featuring a golden dotted minute track, baked enamel print, applied dauphine markers and hands, and a well-proportioned subsidiary seconds register. The crown is embossed ‘PP.’
Its automatic movement contains an 18k gold rotor, prominently stamped ‘Patek Philippe’ and decorated with fine guilloché work. The inner caseback bears the Key #1 hallmark of Wenger, one of Patek’s most respected case makers of the era. It is fitted with a handmade brown crocodile strap and original Patek 18k buckle engraved with the initials A.W.
