Sometimes a watch makes us pause — even swoon — here at Fabsuisse. Such is the case with this 1950s Patek Philippe in 18k yellow gold.
Its appeal lies in its simplicity and execution of the dial - a two-hand design, free of subsidiary or sweep seconds. Slender gold filled markers sit against a soft pearl-toned background, with a hobnail center and raised platform for the signature — a detail executed on a traditional rose engine, achievable only by hand.
Though not formally part of the Patek Philippe Calatrava line, this vintage reference 2507 follows closely in spirit, with its gently curved lugs and balanced proportions echoing its more widely recognized siblings.
The crown bears the Calatrava cross, and is powered by the manual-wind caliber 10-200. Two Geneva Seals are engraved on the inner caseback — a testament to the standards upheld in its making.
Fitted with a vintage Patek brown leather strap and an 18k Patek-signed gold buckle, this is a beautiful and exquisitely preserved example — a wearable classic that will remain relevant for decades to come.
Light wear given for its age, small dimple on dial 5 o’clock.
