It’s always a pleasure for us at Fabsuisse to come across vintage watches that appear unassuming at first glance, only to reveal their allure through craftsmanship and rarity upon closer inspection. This must be one of the most malleable yet shape-retaining bracelet watches we’ve handled.
This 1960s Omega, crafted in 18k white gold, features a woven, mesh-like motif throughout the bracelet, gently flaring before tapering at the ends—remarkably reminiscent of a snake’s body. And like a snake, it moves with extraordinary fluidity; seeing it handled in motion truly brings the design to life.
At the center of the bracelet sits the “head”: a petite square dial marked by fine black hour lines and slim silvered hands. Power comes from the mini baguette hand-wound caliber 690, with the crown accessed via a discreet back-wind system that keeps the exterior design clean and uninterrupted. The case back and sides are textured to mirror the mesh pattern, while the inner bracelet rolls inward beautifully, lending the piece an unmistakably jewelry-like quality. The bracelet is secured by a jewelry clasp embossed with the Omega symbol, and when closed, the watch reads as a bangle—whether worn on the wrist or admired off it.
Perhaps one of a kind, and certainly not something you’re likely to encounter again, this piece is charming, exceptionally well executed, and delicately deceptive in its strength—a vintage offering we’re proud to present.
