Designed by Gilbert Albert—an icon in his own right who began his career at Patek Philippe before moving to Omega—this remarkable watch reflects his highly regarded, sculptural approach to timepiece design. Dating to 1963, it may be among his simpler creations, yet it retains the unmistakable eccentric artistry for which he is celebrated.
The design plays with the organic movement of yellow gold, expressed through nugget-like textures and sculptural, extended lugs, with the same textured treatment carried through the case flanks and Omega-signed crown. A ladies’ 18k gold hallmark is visible on the case near the crown, underscoring its precious construction.
The champagne dial is elegantly discreet, featuring raised gold baton hour markers with black centers at the quarters, paired with petite gold hands. A black-tipped minute hand enhances legibility. Powering the watch is the caliber 650 manual-wind movement—an impressively compact mechanism.
Fitted with a slim black Omega leather strap and an Omega gold-plated buckle, this is a rare opportunity to own a timepiece designed by a true master of mid-century watch design.
