This vintage Longines dating to the 1970s features a robust square-shaped case with an interesting Greek key engraving along the bezel sides — a classical decorative motif derived from ancient Greek architecture that saw renewed popularity in mid-century and Art Deco-inspired jewelry and watch design.

The Swiss-made 14k yellow gold case is finished in high polish, with the crown retaining the Longines winged logo. Framing the watch is a silvered dial, possibly replaced at some point, with raised gold baton hour markers and slim matching hands. Powered by the caliber 428 manual wind movement, the watch is fitted with a custom olive vachetta strap that adds a warm contrast to the gold case. A charming vintage dress piece with subtle character.
