A Hamilton Coronado from the late 1920s, crafted in 18k white gold, this piece is a fine expression of the Art Deco era. The black enamel bezel with silvered stylized Arabic numerals frames the tonneau case, complemented by robust hinged lugs with visible screws that curve comfortably to the wrist. The brushed silvered dial presents the original blued cathedral hands and a subsidiary seconds dial. A fitted glass crystal has been newly fitted, along with a replacement crown, while inside powers Hamilton’s caliber 979 manual wind movement. Completed with a vintage brown leather strap and steel buckle, the watch maintains a period charm. Production records indicate only around 2,300 examples of the white gold Coronado were made, it wears with both charm and ease, carrying on the elevated American style of its period into the modern world.
