A modern Girard-Perregaux chronograph created with a ladies’ design in mind, elevated through its use of 18k rose gold and an elaborate diamond-set presentation. This 1990s reference 8046 features an unusual silhouette, with elongated lugs that curve to conform to the wrist, giving the watch a pronounced presence.
Both the bezel and lugs are set with diamonds, graduating in size as they follow the taper of the narrowing lugs. The oversized crown is stamped “GP,” while the flanking pushers control the chronograph functions—start, stop, and reset.
The white dial is accented by two mother-of-pearl subdials for continuous seconds and a 30-minute counter, with diamond hour markers throughout, save for Roman numerals at 12 and 6 o’clock with lume. Powered by the automatic caliber 3080, the movement features an 18k gold rotor visible through the exhibition caseback.
Fitted with a black alligator strap and secured by an 18k gold Girard-Perregaux buckle, this piece carries a strong wrist presence with a distinctive, jewelry-forward design. A copy of factory service papers is included, noting a complete overhaul of the movement, polishing, and additional work performed.
