The Must de Cartier line was introduced in the late 1970s in response to shifting tastes and the rising popularity of quartz movements. It offered classic Cartier designs executed in vermeil — yellow gold plating over sterling silver — and paired with either mechanical or quartz movements, making the brand’s most iconic silhouettes more accessible to a broader audience.

This 1980s example features the unmistakable Tank silhouette in a compact 20 mm case. It is fitted with a striking black dial contrasted by silver-printed Roman numerals, complemented by Cartier’s signature blue cabochon crown. The watch is powered by a manually wound ETA movement and is finished on a black suede strap, lending it a relaxed, casual elegance ideal for everyday wear.
