The Tank Louis from Cartier is a long established model from the brand for its classic lines and versatility. This particular 78086 example has developed a characteristic only certain conditions would allow — the side of the dial has partially lifted revealing the golden brass underside, leaving behind faint remnants of the numerals. Features Cartier signature white dial - Paris stamped - with black Roman numerals and inner minute track. Blued steel hands with the elongated beaded sapphire cabochon crown complete the classic design. The watch is powered by a caliber ETA 2512 manual wind movement. It is fitted with a vintage black lizard strap with Cartier-signed 18k gold deployant clasp. We think this vintage piece has character, the uncovered brass allows for light to play a little more.

Dial has partially peeled. Normal wear consistent with age.
