A gorgeous vintage 18k yellow gold Cartier Tank Jumbo Automatique, crafted during the 1970s. The Tank Louis being the enduring and iconic model, after its launch nearly 100 years ago. The Jumbo was a size introduced in the 1970s which is larger than the classic size and smaller than the XL versions, and not commonly found in the market as production during that time was smaller than today’s standard. The Jumbo is the only Tank Louis featuring an automatic movement, apparent when the watch is turned over revealing a bubbled back accommodating the automatic caliber. Although the movement gives additional height, it is not apparent while worn on the wrist. This piece is for the vintage enthusiast who may find the classic size too small.
