An interesting design modeled after the classic Tank, this Basculante features a reversible case set within a swinging frame, originally designed to protect the dial. When worn with the dial facing down, the watch presents a simple brushed-finish case, with the crown positioned at 6 o’clock and moving with the case, while Cartier’s signature blue cabochon remains fixed on the bezel.

Lifting the frame reveals the inner case back, fully engraved with double CC logos. The dial is unmistakably Cartier: a white surface with black Roman numeral hour markers, an inner minute track, blued steel sword-shaped hands, and a discreet Cartier signature hidden within the VII numeral.

The watch is powered by a quartz movement for easy, reliable wear.

Condition is excellent, with tight hinges and a frame that closes firmly, producing a satisfying, crisp snap. A strong example for a collector seeking a Basculante in near-perfect condition, complete with box and papers.

Minimal wear, appears to be have been unworn and in original polish condition. Light spotting on dial.

Inner and outer Cartier box included, box numbers match papers.
