Cartier created the Santos Dumont in 1904 having received long lasting demand since its creation for its attractive ultra thin profile and exposed screws, models inspired by the original design are currently offered in boutiques. This 1980s Santos Dumont in 18k yellow gold considered a mens model at the time measuring 27 mm across, containing the classic Cartier white face, black Roman numeral hours, and blued-steel sword-shaped hands, and beaded blue cabochon crown. Fitted with brown lizard strap and Cartier plated buckle. It is incredible the watch is powered by a caliber 21 manual wind movement contained in such a slim case, makes for a good looking dress watch.

Light wear consistent with age, dial contains some crazing.

4.5 mm thick case.
