A lovely Cartier Panthère Ruban in stainless steel, taking the familiar Panthère language in a more sculptural direction. Its square case is almost absorbed into the beautifully articulated bracelet, creating the impression of a single continuous piece of jewellery that wraps fluidly around the wrist.
The highlight is undoubtedly the blue mother-of-pearl dial, vivid with swirling natural patterns that shift between deep navy, slate and vivid blue depending on the light. Free of numerals or markers, the dial allows the changing colours to take centre stage, interrupted only by the discreet Cartier signature and blued hands.
Hidden on the caseback is Cartier's unusual push-button time-setting system, while the quartz movement keeps maintenance effortless. Elegant yet unconventional, the Ruban remains one of Cartier's most distinctive bracelet watch designs, wearing as a piece of jewellery.
