A vintage Cartier Gondole Ellipse reference 78091 in 18k yellow gold, crafted during the 1980s. A lovely shaped case wearing horizontally on the wrist with blue cabochon crown, it may not be sighted as often as the common Tanks and Santos, the beveled edges provides a more elegant detail and features Cartier’s classic white Paris-stamped dial, black Roman numerals (secret Cartier logo at 7:00), and inner minute track. The sword-shaped hands appear to have been painted black at some point of its life. Powered by caliber 2512 ETA manual wind movement. Fitted with the original Cartier burgundy lizard strap and Cartier signed 18k tang buckle. A nice vintage Cartier classic that could be worn for daily wear.

Gently worn for its age, original hands were painted black.
