A very nice preowned Cartier Diabolo reference 1440 in 18 yellow gold, crafted circa 2000s. This model is unique for its notably extended lugs, often referred to as officer’s style lugs with blue cabochon bullet ends, a larger blue cabochon implemented to the exaggerated winder for design continuity and along with the domed crystal , create a bold statement on the wrist. The 27 mm case houses a classic white dial with black Roman numerals and minute track, and blued Breguet style hands, paired with a black lizard strap and deployant buckle for a comfort fit. While the motif of the Diabolo is prominent bearing a 9 mm profile, this diminutive version begets a charming effect, suitable for a variety of occasions.
