A very nice vintage Baume Mercier Tank in 18k yellow gold, crafted during the 1970s. Similar to the iconic and classic Cartier Tank in style, sharing the characteristics of black Roman numeral hours on Chemin de Fer off-white dial and sapphire crown, with a notable difference in the black sword-shaped hands and Baume & Mercier logo. During those times it was not uncommon for other companies such as Baume & Mercier, Ebel, and Jaeger LeCoultre to make pieces for Cartier and other fine houses. Minimal in its design, would suit a variety of occasions.
