Nothing quite embodies the beauty and honesty of fine watchmaking like an openworked creation such as this Audemars Piguet from the 1980s. The 18k yellow gold case features an elegant rope motif bezel accented with diamonds set at the quarter points. Within, the hand-engraved 14k gold bridges of the caliber 2003 manual-wind movement are fully revealed—Audemars Piguet discreetly etched into one of the bridges on the reverse. The black anodized leaf-shaped hands sit minimally above the transparent dial, allowing the intricate mechanics to remain the focal point. Complemented by t-bar lugs, an Audemars Piguet black crocodile strap, and a matching 18k signed tang buckle, this vintage masterpiece exudes timeless elegance and the pinnacle of artisanal craftsmanship.
