This late-1970s Audemars Piguet skeleton watch showcases the artistry of its maker in full view. The solid yellow gold caliber 2003 manual-wind movement is entirely exposed, revealing hand-finished bridges on both sides — one of these bridges is engraved “14k OR 585”. AP’s name is discreetly engraved on one of the bridges and more prominently on the case back—proof that exceptional craftsmanship speaks for itself. A brushed gold chapter ring with black Roman numerals frames the mechanism, while anodized leaf-shaped hands aid in legibility. This late 1970s AP gives a golden warmth to the wrist offset by the AP-signed matte black suede band, appearing to be unworn. Combined with the AP-signed 18k tang buckle adding a refined finish. A quietly confident piece, it offers warmth, rarity, and distinction to any collection, and is a favourite of ours.
